N M Vijayan's death: I C Balakrishnan MLA questioned for four hours, questioning will continue on Friday

KALPETTA: The police team investigating the suicide of Wayanad DCC treasurer NM Vijayan interrogated Sultan Bathery MLA IC Balakrishnan for four hours. The interrogation took place at Puthurvayal District Police Head Quarter Camp. The questioning will continue on Friday.

The questioning was led by investigation officer Bathery DySP KK Abdul Shareef. IC Balakrishnan arrived at 11 AM on Thursday. The investigation team primarily focused on the references in the letters written by NM Vijayan to the KPCC president and his family. They also inquired about the recommendation letter related to the appointment.

DCC President ND Appachan and former Treasurer KK Gopinathan were questioned in the previous days. Both were arrested and later released on bail. IC Balakrishnan may also be arrested in connection with the case. Balakrishnan said that he would fully cooperate with the investigation and that he has not committed any crime.
