Man stabs wife to death in Pune; posts video in office group

PUNE: A youth stabbed his wife to death with scissors. The incident happened at Pune’s Kharadi area. The dead is Jyoti Gite (27), wife of Shivdas Gite (37). The police have arrested the accused.

There was a heated dispute between the two on Wednesday midnight. Shivdas Gite then attacked his wife at around 4:30 am on Thursday. He took a scissors and stabbed her on her neck. The neighbors arrived hearing her shouts for help.

The neighbors themselves took the woman to the hospital. However, the woman's life could not be saved. Shivdas felt remorse after the incident. He immediately said that he had committed a mistake and shot a video on his phone and shared it in the office group.

'After an altercation, Shivdas attacked his wife with scissors. He stabbed her on her neck. Hearing the woman’s screams, the neighbors rushed her to the hospital immediately. She had died by then. Shivdas then shot a video on his phone and expressed regret for his actions. He then posted it in the office group. He has been arrested and is being questioned in detail,’ said the police.
