Reitred bank employee's charred body found inside car in Thodupuzha

IDUKKI: A charred human body was found inside a car in Thodupuzha – Perumamkandam road on Saturday. The victim was identified as Siby (60), a local resident. He is a retired cooperative bank employee. Siby’s children reached the spot and identified the car. The police are still waiting for scientific test results to confirm the identity of the victim.

The car, which was parked in a deserted rubber plantation, went into flames. The video of the incident is also going viral on social media. The locals alarmed by the fire, reached the spot to see the Maruti 800 model car going in flames.

According to relatives, Siby was on his way to buy groceries and other essentials from town. Some of the locals also spotted him travelling in the car during morning hours. After being informed by the locals, the fire brigade reached the spot and extinguished the fire. The police have started a probe into the incident. A forensic team will reach the spot soon.
