NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party former leader and Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal dumped garbage brought in three mini trucks in front of former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence. Maliwal's protest is for AAP ignoring people's constant demand to solve the garbage problem in Delhi. The garbage issue has become a topic of discussion in Delhi, where the assembly election campaign is in its final phase.
The garbage was dumped in front of Kejriwal's residence on Maliwal's instruction on Thursday noon. Maliwal was taken into police custody for trespassing in the security area. She was later released after registering a case. Garbage collected from Vikaspuri was dumped in front of the AAP chief’s residence. Many women joined Maliwal in the protest. Maliwal has long been at loggerheads with the Aam Aadmi Party after she was allegedly attacked by Kejriwal's personal secretary Bibhav Kumar in front of the former Delhi CM.
