WASHINGTON: After the Washington plane crash that shook the country, another plane crash occurred in the US. A small plane crashed in a residential area in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, killing 7 people. Six people on board, including a child, and a passenger in a car hit by the plane's debris died. 19 local residents were injured. Some are in critical condition. The cause of the accident is unclear. It is believed that bad weather and poor visibility may have been the reasons.
The accident occurred near the crowded Roosevelt shopping mall at 6.30 pm local time on Friday (4.40 am Indian time). The medical plane carrying a seriously ill child crashed within minutes of takeoff. The other people on board were the child's mother, a doctor, an assistant and two pilots. All are Mexican citizens. This is the plane of the Mexico-based Jet Rescue Air Ambulance Company.
The plane was flying from Northeast Philadelphia Airport to Tijuana, Mexico, via Missouri, carrying a child who had completed treatment at a Philadelphia hospital. US President Donald Trump expressed his condolences over the accident.
