THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian meteorological department issued a warning in four districts due to the Kallakadal phenomenon. According to the National Oceanographic Research Center, there is a possibility of a high wave of 0.2 to 0.6 meters in the Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Ernakulam and Alappuzha coasts tomorrow from 5.30 am to 5.30 pm.

There is a possibility of sea intrusion along the coast of Tamil Nadu due to high waves of 0.5 to 0.7 meters. Fishermen and coastal residents should be cautious as there is a possibility of storm surge in the region.

  • As the rough seas are likely to intensify, stay away from the danger areas as per the instructions of the authorities.

  • Avoid going to the sea using small boats or canoes.

  • Caution should be exercised in all activities, including venturing to sea for leisure activities.

  • Keep fishing vessels (boats, boats, etc.) safely moored in the harbour. Keeping a safe distance between boats can avoid the risk of collision. Safety of fishing equipment should be ensured.
