Excise foils Afsal's devious plan to lure youngsters; big drug bust in Kollam.

PALAKKAD: Excise arrested the youth for possessing 165.11 grams of methamphetamine near the Pambam Pallam toll plaza. Afsal ( 25) of Kollam Karunagapally got nabbed for illegal possession. He carried a huge quantity of drugs with the plan of distributing the same among young people.

Excise teams under Excise Special Squad Circle Inspector Ajay Kumar and Excise Inspector (Grade) who was on duty in Walayar Task Force Premanand jointly conducted the raid. Assistant Excise Inspector CV Rajesh Kumar of Ottapalam Excise Range, Civil Excise Officer Driver Lukoose Kj, and Preventive Officer ( Grade) Masilamani were part of the group that conducted the raid.

Ansar (31) was arrested in Kakkanad for carrying 9.29 grams of MDMA on his bike. K P Pramod of Ernakulam Excise Enforcement & Anti Narcotic special squad and team seized the drugs. Assistant Excise Inspector (Grade) O N Ajayakumar, Preventive Officer, M H Shihabudheen, Civil Excise Officer Sreejith M .T, Afsal and Lady Civil Excise Officer Latha were also part of the team.
