NEW DELHI: Jeet Adani, younger son of industrialist Gautam Adani, is getting married to Diva Shah, daughter of Surat-based diamond merchant Jaimin Shah, tomorrow (February 7). Everyone expected a wedding similar to that of industrialist Mukesh Ambani's son Anand Ambani. Anand's was the most extravagant wedding the country had ever seen.

However, Gautam Adani had earlier responded that his son's wedding will be a simple and traditional function. He had also said that his lifestyle is like that of ordinary people in India.

Adani has now revealed that the couple (Jeet and Diva) had pledged to donate Rs 10 lakh each for the marriage of 500 women with disabilities every year.

'Jeet and Diva decided to start their married life with a noble pledge. They have taken a 'Mangal Seva' pledge to donate Rs 10 lakh every year for the marriage of 500 disabled sisters. As a father, this pledge gives me immense satisfaction. I believe it will help many daughters and their families live happily. I pray to God to bless Jeet and Diva so that they could progress on this path,’ he wrote in his X handle.

Jeet and Diva met 21 newlywed women with disabilities and their husbands to launch this initiative.

Jeet, who completed his studies in the US, joined the Adani Group in 2019 as director of Adani Airport Holdings. Jeet and Diva got engaged in Ahmedabad in March 2023.
