BENGALURU: A private bus proceeding to Kannur from Bengaluru caught fire. A major accident was averted as the vehicle stopped soon after seeing the fire spreading and the passengers were evacuated. The bus Ashoka Travels caught fire at Maddur in Karnataka. The fire reportedly started from the rear. The incident took place Sunday early morning around 1 am. The bus was full of passengers at the time of the accident.
All the passengers were evacuated as soon as the smoke was noticed. The fire was spreading as soon as all the passengers were evacuated. The rear part was almost burnt.
