Beam collapses during construction work; tragic end for two people in Pathanamthitta

PATHANAMTHITTA: In a tragic incident, two people were killed after a beam collapsed during construction work at the District Rifle Club in Malakkara. The deceased were migrant workers, Ratan Mandal and Guddu Kumar. The accident occurred this afternoon.

The beam placed on a trench in the shooting range collapsed during construction. Three workers were engaged in the construction at the time, but one escaped by running away, avoiding the accident. The police arrived at the scene and moved the bodies to the hospital. An investigation into the incident has begun.
