BENGALURU: Ed Sheeran, the four-time Grammy-winning British singing sensation, is currently in India as part of a foreign tour. On the last day, Ed Sheeran had a concert in Chennai. While Ed was performing, Mozart of Madras A R Rahman made a surprise appearance on stage leaving fans in a frenzy.

Ed Sheeran's next concert is set to take place in Bengaluru.

Meanwhile, the video of Bengaluru police halting Ed Sheeran’s impromptu performance on Church Street in Bengaluru has taken social media by storm. The incident took place on February 8. The police without recognising the legendary singer, asked the mic to be turned off for allegedly causing inconvenience to the public. Ed Sheeran came to the street around 11 am.

While singing his famous song 'Shape of You' in front of an ecstatic crowd, the police barged in and asked the singer to leave the place. Despite trying to introduce himself, the police gave no ears. The instruction was given to pull off the plug and leave the place.

“ We have permission to perform here, but this policeman is shutting it down, see you later.” Said Ed Sheeran before leaving the place.

Cubbon Park police informed the media that the officials have not taken permission to perform on the streets.
