Minor girl abducted and sexually abused in Pathanamthitta, two including teenager held

PATHANAMTHITTA: A fifth-class girl was abducted and sexually abused in Adoor. The police have taken two including a teenager into custody in the case. The girl’s 16-year-old neighbour and co-accused Sudheesh of Ernakulam are in the custody of the police.

The girl was kidnapped by the 16-year-old boy after covering her mouth. Sudheesh held the girl's friends who created an uproar. He then took the girl to an isolated house and abused her. A case has been filed against the youths under sections including POCSO.

The incident of a Dalit student sexually abused by 64 people in five years was recently reported. The shock of it is yet to subside.
