THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A class 10 boy, kidnapped by a gang from Mangalapuram, was found on Tuesday night. The child was found in a rubber plantation in Keezhattingal. Police arrested two members of the gang in the incident. According to reports, the child was detained in the rubber plantation.

Edavilakam native Ashik was abducted around 7.45 pm on Tuesday. A gang who came in a car stormed into the house, took him into the car and fled the spot. With parents currently abroad, Ashik was living with his grandmother. Relatives filed a missing complaint with the Mangalapuram police and the child was found during the subsequent investigation.

Last Saturday, similar to today’s incident, Ashik was beaten up by a two-member gang who came on a bike. The gang then forced Ashik to smoke marijuana. After getting back home, the boy revealed the horrific incident to his relatives and a police complaint was filed. This is doubted to be the reason for the gang coming back again and kidnapping the boy.
