Demanded egg dosa at vegetarian hotel; owner hacked and hotel vandalised

CHENNAI: Vegetarian hotel owner hacked for not serving egg dosa. Prince (45), who runs a hotel in the Chembarambakkam area near Poonamallee in Ambattur, was injured. A three-member gang of habitual thieves was behind the attack.

The police have arrested the assailants Manikandan, Sasikumar and Muthu. They had created trouble at another tea shop also. The three, who arrived drunk, refused to pay for the food and used knives to break properties in the shop.

They were hiding in the Chembarambakkam forest area and tried to escape when they saw the police but were caught. All three of them sustained injuries to their hands while being caught by the police.
