KOTTAYAM: CPM state secretary M.V. Govindan stated that Congress MP Shashi Tharoor's article openly exposes facts. He also praised Tharoor for openly discussing factual matters. However, opposition leader V.D. Satheesan and others had earlier come forward rejecting Shashi Tharoor’s remarks praising both the central and state governments.
Despite this, Tharoor maintains his stance on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the United States and Kerala’s industrial atmosphere. His article highlighted that Modi’s US visit is promising and that the system enabling businesses to start within two minutes in Kerala is a remarkable transformation.
"I am someone who does not hesitate to appreciate when governments, whether central or state, do good, and to criticize them when they do wrong. Investment is necessary for the future of our children. We need enterprises. Some matters should be viewed beyond politics. People in Kerala have seen a lot of politics, but they have not seen enough development," Tharoor stated.
He emphasized that his statements were based on all available data and suggested that the opposition leader should read his article. "Earlier, a certain section only created obstacles, but now they are taking action, and that cannot be ignored," he pointed out.
He stressed that politics should be set aside when thinking about the welfare of the people. "It makes no sense for the opposition to dismiss everything the ruling party does as wrong," Tharoor clarified.
