11-year-old girl found hanging in Thiruvananthapuram, ribbon around her neck

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An eleven-year-old girl was found hanging in her house. The child was found hanging inside a house in Subhash Nagar, Powdikonam.

The incident took place around 2:30 pm. The body was found with a ribbon tied around her neck which was tied to a window. Her parents were not at home during the incident. After her younger sister informed, the neighbors came, cut the ribbon and took her to the hospital. She was taken to the Thiruvananthapuram SAT Hospital in a critical condition. She later died.

The child's father is an auto driver. Her mother is an employee of a private hospital. It is believed that the accident occurred while the children were playing. The Sreekaryam police have registered a case in the incident.
