Death of 11-year-old girl; mystery shrouding demise of Aaradhika; neighbour and sister describe what they saw

SREEKARIYAM: Locals have called the incident of 11-year-old girl found hanging from the bedroom window in Powdikonam Subhash Nagar mysterious. Sixth-grader Aaradhika was found hanging from the window with a shawl around her neck.

This afternoon, after the child returned home from dance class, she had sent her younger sister Rudra to have food at a nearby house. The younger sister went to eat after Aaradhika said she would come after taking a bath and went to take a bath. In the meantime, the mother, who is an employee at KIMS Hospital, had called the nearby house and enquired about the children.

The housewife of the nearby house called Aaradhika after this. Aaradhika did not come after the housewife called her several times, so she asked the younger child to call her sister. When the younger child reached home, she saw Aaradhika leaning against the window with a bath towel. When the child returned to the next house, she said, "I called but she did not come, she is standing by the window with a towel," and when the housewife went to check, she found the child hanging. Locals who heard their screams informed the police.
