THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Amidst the hullabaloo over his op-ed adulating both Modi and Pinarayi government, Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor yet again stirred up a controversy with his new Facebook post.

Tharoor's post shared on Facebook paying homage to Kripesh and Sharath Lal, the Youth Congress leaders killed in Periya in Kasaragod, became controversial for all odd reasons. Tharoor first shared KPCC's poster titled “Our brothers killed by CPM cannibals”. Very soon, the post disappeared from Tharoor’s page and another poster paying homage made it to the feed, which shrewdly omitted CPM’s role in the murder.

“Paying obeisance to the memories of Sharath Lal and Kripesh. Political differences may arise but violence is never a solution’ quoted Tharoor.

Tharoor's post was on the fifth anniversary of the brutal murder of Sharath Lal and Kripesh. Kripesh and Sarath Lal were killed on February 17, 2019. The court sentenced ten accused in the case to double life imprisonment last month.
