'AMMA will respond to legal notice against me, they have evidence in their hands': Jayan Cherthala

KOCHI: Actor Jayan Cherthala has come forward in response to the legal notice sent by the Producers Association against him. He also clarified that the AMMA organization will respond to the legal notice against him. The actor clarified that what he spoke was on behalf of an organization and therefore it will not affect him.

'I am a person representing an organization. I said what that organization had to say. I am confident that everything I said was correct. The organization has said that it will intervene in this. The AMMA board and the lawyer will jointly respond to the legal notice sent by the Producers Association. There is evidence of what I said. They will provide it. AMMA did organize an event to help the Producers Association. All organizations should exist in Malayalam cinema,' Jayan Cherthala clarified.

The Producers Association had sent the legal notice against the press conference held by Jayan Cherthala on February 14. Jayan Cherthala alleged that the producers' association had asked for money from the actors' association AMMA when it was in debt. The lawyer sent a notice against this.

'AMMA is the organization that gave Rs 1 crore to the producers when they asked for that amount to build an office. They still have to pay back Rs 40 lakh. To clear the debt of the Producers' Association, they asked Lalettan and Mammootty to come and perform a show for free. Lalettan came from the United States by taking a flight ticket at his own expense to do the program that was planned in Qatar. Still, they could not do it. That show failed,' Jayan Cherthala said at a press conference.
