NEW DELHI: Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani arrived in Delhi on a two-day visit to India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after setting aside protocol, received him at the New Delhi airport in the evening.
The Emir will be accorded a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan this morning. He will then meet the Prime Minister at Hyderabad House. MoUs will be signed. The Emir will also meet President Draupadi Murmu. A high-level delegation including ministers, senior officials, and business leaders is also accompanying the Emir. This is the second visit of the Qatar Emir to India. He had visited India in March 2015.
