Husband stabs wife on road in Kannur, taken into police custody

KANNUR: A man has been taken into custody for stabbing his wife on the road in Dharmadom, Kannur. Mahija, a native of Parapram, was attacked by her husband, Manikandan, on Tuesday evening.

Mahija works in Dharmadom. She was on her way back home when Manikandan stopped her on the road and attacked her with a knife. Police believe the attack was due to family issues. Mahija was stabbed in the chest and abdomen. Hearing her screams, people rushed to her aid and immediately took her to a private hospital in Kannur. The police are questioning the accused, Manikandan.
