'Used to forward those messages to GV'; actress Divyabharathi breaks silence on GV Prakash Kumar

Singer Saindhavi and composer-actor GV Prakash announced their split after 11 years of marriage in 2024. Fans were shocked by the decision and curiously most of the vituperative attack targeted actress Divyabharathi. The actress used to be the usual pair of GV Prakash in his movies while gossips did the rounds about the duo. While attending an interview together for the promotion of their new movie ‘Kingston’, both Divya and GV opened up about the rumours.

DIVYABHARATHI:

“I faced brutal cyber-attack when GV and Saindhavi decided to part ways. I kept a firm upper lip because I knew people might have taken wrongly me pairing with GV in most movies. When GV decided to do a concert with Saindhavi after his divorce, I was very happy, most for the fact that I believed there would be no more cyber attacks on me. Contrary to my expectations, more barrage of hate-filled messages started reaching my inbox. Interestingly most were from women accusing me of tearing apart GV’s married life.

When the messages go to an extreme level, I will send them to GV. He would casually ask me to keep a blind eye on such messages and concentrate on work.

G V PRAKASH:

I first saw Divya at the film set. We got paired in a few movies and turned out to be good friends. Beyond friendship, I have nothing with Divya.

Saindhavi and me...we are true professionals. We decided to do a concert together because that was our work. Nothing personal would come in between. I am travelling this long to perform to entertain the people. I have to do that. That is my job.
