Champions Trophy: Pakistan wins toss and elects to bat, loses two wickets including Babar's

DUBAI: Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat in the much-awaited Champions Trophy match. Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and elected to bat. Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq came out to bat for Pakistan in the opening innings.


After nine overs, Pakistan scored 41 runs for the loss of two wickets. Babar Azam was the first to leave the field after scoring 23 runs. Hardik Pandya took the wicket of Pakistan's strong player. Imam-ul-Haq was run out after scoring 10 runs. Rizwan and Saud are presently in the crease.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that Indian player Mohammed Shami has injured his leg. Shami had expressed some discomfort in his right leg while bowling in the fifth over. The player completed the over after the medical team arrived and examined him.

Imam-ul-Haq was included in the Pakistan team in place of batter Fakhar Zaman. The playing XI of the Indian team remains unchanged. Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Harshit Rana, Mohammed Shami, Kuldeep Yadav are in the Indian team. Pakistan team- Imam, Babar, Saud, Rizwan, Salman, Tayyib, Khushdil, Shaheen, Naseem, Rauf, Abrar.
