Jeep driven by drunken doctors collides with motorbike in Thiruvananthapuram; 26-year-old dies

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A young man met with a tragic end after a jeep driven by junior doctors collided with his bike. The incident occurred early this morning at Akkulam Bridge in Thiruvananthapuram. Both doctors were reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

The jeep, which was overspeeding, lost control and crashed into the bike. The deceased has been identified as Sreeram (26), a native of Parassala. He had suffered severe injuries in the accident. Although he was immediately rushed to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries at 11 AM. His companion, Shanu (26), also from Parassala, sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Following the incident, the police took Dr Vishnu and Dr Athul into custody. Both doctors work at different hospitals. The police have registered a case regarding the incident. According to the police, Vishnu was driving the jeep at the time of the accident. The vehicle was registered under Athul’s mother’s name. Both Sreeram and Shanu worked as online food delivery personnel.
