Santhigiri Ashram director Swami Mahithan Gnana Thapasvi passes away

POTHANKODE: Santhigiri Ashram Director and senior member of Gurudharma Prakash Sabha Swami Mahithan Gnana Thapasvi (72) passed away. His previous name was N. Raveendran Nair. Following the Swami's demise, the board of directors held a meeting at the ashram and expressed condolences.

A public viewing was held at the ashram conference hall today. INTUC State President R. Chandrasekharan, Palayam Imam Dr. V.P. Shuhaib Moulavi, Chempazhanthi Gurukulam Madadhipathi Swami Abhayananda, Cultural Workers Welfare Fund Board Chairman K. Madhupal, cinematographer S. Kumar, and others paid their last respects.

At the memorial service held at 6 pm, Ashram President Swami Chaitanya Gnana Tapasvi and General Secretary Swami Gururatnam Gnana Tapasvi spoke. Then, prayers were held after worship from 6 pm. At 8 pm, the physical body was buried in a prepared place near the Guru's garden. Born on November 30, 1953, the son of R. Narayana Pillai and Saradamma at Charuvila House, Chottupara, Kallar Pattom Colony, Idukki. In 1974, the Swami's family came to the Pothankode Ashram. N. Radhamma, N. Saseendran Nair, C.N. Rajan, N. Radhakrishnan, and the late Sarasamma are siblings.
