Youth suspected to be drug addict brutally beats 13-year-old son in Pathanamthitta

PATHANAMTHITTA: A youth suspected to be a drug addict brutally beat his 13-year-old son. The incident happened at Koodal in Pathanamthitta.
The Child Welfare Committee (CWC) has filed a complaint with the police along with the visuals. The footages show the child being beaten with a belt like object.

It is not clear when the incident happened. The incident occurred in a house in Nelli Nuruppa within the Koodal station limits. The video was shot by a relative through the open door. The CWC chairman got the footages last evening. After a preliminary investigation, a complaint was filed with the Koodal Circle Inspector along with the footages. It is heard that the police have identified the person after examining the video. There are also complaints that he regularly beats his wife in an inebriated condition.
