Significant change in RC book from tomorrow; Transport Department issues order

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Transport Department has issued an order to introduce digital RC in the state from tomorrow. Those who need it can print out the RC and use it; a change has been made on the Parivahan site for this. Currently, licenses are issued digitally. Earlier, licenses were printed and sent by post. The license was made digital to avoid this. Even though the license was made digital, the RC book continued to be printed. This is what is being changed now. Earlier, there was a delay in getting the RC book. With the digitisation, the RC can be received quickly.

There is a situation where the number linked to the RC book does not change even after the transfer of vehicles, and to avoid this, the Transport Department had instructed vehicle owners to update their numbers this month itself.
