THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: While the mention in the CPM draft resolution that the Modi government is not fascist is under discussion, an article in Janayugom has alleged that the BJP is creating fascism under the guise of the central government. It was AIYF State Secretary TT Jismon who wrote an article in the CPI mouthpiece titled ‘BJP Administration and Fascism’.
The assessment in the CPM secret document was that "the party only means 'the display of neo-fascist characteristics' by 'the tendency towards fascism'. In other words, the Narendra Modi government has not completely become neo-fascists". The CPM's explanation was after rejecting the position of parties including the CPI that the Modi government is a fascist government. The article is speaking without 'openly stating' against this.
The article points out that the country's democratic rights and human rights are being undermined by the politics and culture based on racial pride that emerged in Italy and Germany. The article says that Hitler's extermination theory to raise Aryan pride is inspiring Hindutva activists and that Golwalkar makes it clear in Bunch of Thoughts (Vicharadhara) that Aryan is an ancient and proud name.
The article also states that the BJP government is preparing for a false ideological foundation on which fascists can gain a foothold by constructing a political ideology that is different from democracy.
CPM leader AK Balan had explained that the draft political resolution was for discussion within the party.
