DUBAI: India has entered the final phase of preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy. India will face New Zealand in the Champions Trophy cricket final to be held at the Dubai Cricket Stadium tomorrow. India booked their ticket to the finals by defeating Australia in the first semi-final. New Zealand defeated South Africa in the semi-final.

Rohit Sharma and his team, who are trying to bring the Champions Trophy home after 12 years, have been able to play all their matches at the same venue and win them all. This gives the team great confidence. New Zealand, led by spinner Mitchell Santner, will face India in the final of a white-ball ICC tournament after a quarter of a century.

However, the news coming out is a bit worrying for the Indian team. It is reported that Virat Kohli was injured during training. The team management has not officially commented on the injury. National media reports that he was injured after being hit by a ball on his knee during training on Saturday. Following the injury, the team physio and his team examined Kohli.

It is reported that painkiller spray was sprayed on the area where the ball hit him and the injured area has been bandaged. It is also reported that the 36-year-old Kohli has not been training since then. It is informed that the injury is not serious. If Kohli, who is in good form in the tournament, is unable to play in the final, it will be a big setback for India.
