MALAPPURAM: Revenue Minister K. Rajan praised Kerala Kaumudi’s campaign addressing the critical issue of waste management, aligning with the government’s initiative to unite people from all sections of society under the vision of a Malinya Muktha Nava Kerala. The minister was inaugurating the district-level launch of the Malinya Muktha Kerala campaign, organized by Kerala Kaumudi at Surya Regency, Malappuram.
"The goal is to eliminate the practice of dumping waste in public places by March 31. Waste management should be seen as an individual responsibility. Kerala should transform into a state free from hazardous waste accumulation. This initiative should become a way of life. Kerala Kaumudi carries forward the ideals and philosophies of Sree Narayana Guru and has played an unparalleled role in Kerala’s renaissance history," the minister said.
The minister also presented Kerala Kaumudi’s Top Brand Awards to distinguished achievers from various fields. The awardees included UGS Group MD Ajith Palatt, Shalom Institute of Mental Health & Research COO Jiju Varghese, Malappuram Kerala Gramin Bank Regional Manager P.D. Jayaram, gynecologist Dr. Kochu S. Mani from Perinthalmanna EMS Hospital, S & S Group Managing Partner Nisha Vijayan, Focus Motors MD Abdul Kalam Azad, UMS Group MD M.P. Satheesh, and Positive Business Solutions MD Satheesh Kumar.
Kerala Kaumudi Unit Chief Sumod Karattuthodi presided over the function. MLA P. Ubaidulla was the chief guest. Local Self-Government Department Assistant Director P.B. Shaju delivered the keynote address. Kerala Kaumudi Malappuram Bureau Chief Shabil Basheer and Advertisement Department Assistant Managers P. Subrahmanyan and Sanoob Vasudevan also spoke at the event.
