Girls of Tanur not revealing much, investigation team to Mumbai again; probe on money obtained

MALAPPURAM: The police will investigate further the incident of the girls, who went missing from Tanur. The investigation team will go to Mumbai again. The investigation will focus on the beauty parlors visited by the girls in Mumbai.


They went to the beauty parlor as soon as they landed in Mumbai. The team will investigate whether this was on the directions of someone. They will also find out from where they got so much money.


The two girls, Plus Two students of Devadar School in Tanur, went missing last Wednesday. The school authorities and relatives informed the police. After a search, both were found in Mumbai's Lonavala.


The railway police found the two while traveling in a train two days after they went missing. The investigation conducted following the mobile phone location was successful. They were found in the Chennai Egmore Express in an investigation conducted by the railway police following the information provided by the Kerala police.


The girls initially said there are issues at home and are not interested in going home. However, they later said they were happy to go home. The girls are presently housed in a government-controlled center. The two were produced before the Tirur Judicial First-Class Magistrate and their statements were recorded. However, the girls are not opening up much and the two will be subjected to counseling.
