ALAPPUZHA: Senior CPM leader G Sudhakaran has come out strongly against Kerala's special representative in Delhi KV Thomas. G Sudhakaran said that the old Congressman who contested against us gets around Rs. 30 lakh sitting in Delhi, and asked what he does with all that money. G Sudhakaran's response was while speaking at a press conference organized in Alappuzha.
'KV Thomas, who is in Delhi, has Rs 12 lakh as travel expenses. His salary is Rs 2.5 to 3.5 lakh. He has a college professor's pension, MLA's pension, MP's pension. And then this salary. How many lakhs does he get in a month? Does he eat all this money? Why does he need this much money? Isn't he getting around Rs. 10 to 30 lakh? Furthermore, he is an old Congressman, DCC President, and the one who contested against us. Let all of it go, he came to our side, and we considered him," said G Sudhakaran.
We were all MLAs, ministers, and district secretaries of the party. We only have a monthly income of Rs. 35,000 as pension. That is because we are MLAs. Otherwise, I would not have had any income. We have no issues with others getting money. I have no disagreement over any money that is given," said G Sudhakaran.
