Shocking human sacrifice in Gujarat: Man kills four-year-old girl, offers blood to family temple

GANDHINAGAR: A 42-year-old man was arrested for murdering the 4-year-old daughter of his neighbour and "offering" her blood at the steps of a temple. The horrific incident took place in Chhota Udaipur, Gujarat. The arrested person has been identified as 42-year-old Lalabhai Tadvi. It is suspected that this was a case of human sacrifice. The police said that the accused did this for the prosperity and divine blessings of the family.

The girl was playing with her one and a half-year-old brother in front of the house when she went missing on Monday morning. Initially, the family did not notice her absence. It was when the mother heard the girl’s screams that she ran out and saw the man, armed with an axe, dragging the child away. The mother tried to intervene, but the man pushed her away. Although the villagers heard the screams of the girl and her mother and rushed to the scene, they were unable to stop him as he was armed with the axe. The villagers reported that the accused carried out the brutal act in front of everyone.

According to the police, the accused is mentally unstable. The police are conducting a detailed investigation into the incident. After hacking the child to death, Lalabhai collected her blood and offered it at the steps of his family temple, the police added.
