'Don't do loose talk'; Bala's liver donor Joseph Jacob against Elizabeth Udayan

Joseph Jacob, the liver donor to actor Bala, came against the actor’s former partner Dr Elizabeth Udayan for gibberish talks related to the liver transplantation. Joseph said he voluntarily agreed to donate his liver to Bala and warned Elizabeth not to talk on matters that she had no idea about. Joseph also asked Elizabeth to prove her claim of him taking lakhs for donating liver to the actor.

Joseph Jacob:

“Organ donation can’t be done overnight. It requires a lot of procedures, including tests and discussions. Elizabeth was present when I was in the hospital for discussion. I never heard from anyone about Elizabeth agreeing to donate her liver to her then husband.”

“It is a shame that such demeaning remarks about organ donation came from a doctor. You can vilify me to any extent but ridiculing organ donors is a crime. How many people in this world know about organ donation? How many people would be willing to do it?

Most people donate their organs posthumously. However, Joseph decided to donate his liver to save my life. Isn’t it the greatest gift that I received in my life? People like him should be adulated. A doctor resorting to shaming a donor is atrocious and unbecoming.”
