Man arrested for bludgeoning wife to death in Kothamangalam

KOCHI: A man bludgeoned his wife to death at Kuttampuzha in Kothamangalam. The dead is Maya of Elambasseri. The police have arrested her husband Jijo John. She was found lying dead when ASHA workers visited her house early Wednesday morning. There was a verbal dispute between the two last night and this may have led to the murder.

Maya sustained serious injuries on her head and face. Jijo told police that a dispute broke out after he saw his wife in a suspicious manner. The couple has a child. The incident happened when the child was not at home. Maya belongs to an Adivasi community. The two got married after being in a relationship.
