THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A K M Ashraf MLA raised BJP leader and former MLA P C George's hate speech in the assembly. Ashraf told the assembly that George’s love jihad issue is a violation of the bail conditions. He blamed the government for giving him the license to say anything. Is it not possible for the police to chain him, asked Ashraf.

Ashraf raised the criticism during the discussion on the request for funds of various departments. Ashraf asked why the government is hesitant to take a strict stand against P C George, who is destroying the secularism of Kerala. He added that the police arrested P C George with two minds.

'Can't George be chained? The Karnataka government had imprisoned such people. Even though he violated the bail conditions, the police are not ready to touch P C George,' said Ashraf. Meantime, none of the ministers responded to this criticism.

P C George came with yet another controversial speech after arrested for his hate speech. He was later granted bail in the case. In an anti-drug function held in Pala the other day, George had said that love jihad is increasing in Kerala and that Christians should marry off their daughters before 24.

In Meenachil taluk alone, 400 girls were lost through love jihad. Only 41 returned. George's speech is that parents should behave by understanding reality. The explosives seized in Erattupetta the other day are to burn the whole of Kerala. George said the country is moving towards a dangerous direction.
