THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A group of RSS and BJP workers obstructed Tushar Gandhi, the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi and a prominent Gandhian and social activist, upon his arrival in Neyyattinkara in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday evening. The protest occurred after the unveiling ceremony of the statue of Gandhian Gopinathan Nair.
The protest was sparked by Tushar Gandhi's speech, in which he stated that the soul of the nation is afflicted with cancer, and that the Sangh Parivar is spreading this cancer. Tushar Gandhi, reaffirming his stance, left the venue chanting "Jai Gandhi," with no change in his position.
