Woman arrested for sexually abusing minor girl in Kannur

KANNUR: A woman has been arrested in a POCSO case. Sneha Merlin (23) of Puliparambu has been arrested in the case of sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl.

The girl abused comes under the limits of Taliparamba police station. The teachers suspicious of her behavior, informed her parents. The girl later revealed about the rape during counseling.

A police team led by Thalassery circle inspector Shaji Pattery arrested Sneha. Police said similar cases have been registered against Sneha Merlin earlier also. She has also been accused in an assault case.
