THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM State Secretary M.V. Govindan announced that the party will take action against senior leader A. Padmakumar, who publicly criticized the leadership for not including him in the CPM state committee. Govindan stressed that internal party matters should be discussed within the organization, not in public. He also emphasized that personal merit and values should be understood by each individual.
"We have not yet discussed the issue concerning Padmakumar. We will review the matter. The party aims to create a leadership that includes both veteran and new leaders," Govindan stated.
In regard to the Karuvannur case, Govindan confirmed that the party will confront the Enforcement Directorate's actions against K. Radhakrishnan, MP.
"The ED is handling this matter unlawfully. The party has taken a stance to address the shortcomings in the Karuvannur Bank issue. The ED has been politicizing the matter from the start," he asserted.
He also condemned the incident where Tushar Gandhi was obstructed by RSS-BJP workers in Neyyattinkara, calling it highly objectionable. Govindan remarked that the mentality of those who killed Gandhi still persists among some individuals in Kerala, and this is a matter of serious concern.
