Accident while returning from police station; Vlogger Junaid's funeral to be held in Manjeri today

MALAPPURAM: The burial ceremony of Junaid, who died in a bike accident, will be held today at Manjeri. The burial will take place this evening at the Juma Masjid in Vazhikkadavu. After the inquest proceedings, Junaid's body was taken to Manjeri Medical College for a postmortem. It is believed that the accident occurred after the bike hit a roadside dune and overturned. Junaid had sustained injuries to the back of his head following the accident.

Locals marked the Marathani-Karakunnu curve as an accident-prone area. The accident took place on the Kozhikode Vazhikkadavu state highway at around 6:30 pm on Friday. It was bus workers who rushed Junaid to the hospital, but his life could not be saved. Junaid met with the accident while returning home after giving his signature at the police station related to the sexual assault case against him.
