The uncertainty surrounding the release of Mohanlal-Prithviraj team's big budget Malayalam movie Empuraan has been resolved. It has now been confirmed that Gokulam Gopalan's Sree Gokulam Movies will be collaborating on the project. The confirmation came via social media, with Mohanlal, Prithviraj, and the crew members sharing the news, along with the release of a new poster.
Gokulam Movies expressed their pride in being part of the project on their social media page. Earlier reports had suggested that Lyca Productions, a major Tamil production house, had backed out of the film. However, it has now been clarified that Lyca will remain involved. Lyca's name appears on the new poster, confirming that Empuraan will have three producers: Lyca Productions, Aashirvad Cinemas, and Sree Gokulam Movies, with Subaskaran, Antony Perumbavoor, and Gokulam Gopalan co-producing the film. The movie will hit the theaters on March 27 itself.
Previously, rumors suggested that Lyca Productions would be withdrawing from Empuraan, but there was no official confirmation. Additionally, it was reported that Aashirvad Cinemas, led by Antony Perumbavoor, had begun making arrangements to release the film without Lyca's involvement. However, the latest update has cleared up all the confusion surrounding the project.
