College student stabbed to death by intruder in Kollam; accused's body found from nearby railway track

KOLLAM: In a chilling incident, a student was stabbed to death inside his house by an intruder in Uliyakovil Kollam on Monday night. The victim was identified as Febin George Gomes (22), a second-year student at Fatima Mata College, Kollam.

It is reported that a man who came in a car barged into the house and killed Febin. The victim’s father also suffered injuries in the incident. The incident took place around 7 pm on Monday. Apart from his studies, Febin also used to do gig work as a food delivery boy. The reason for the murder is not clear at the moment.

Meanwhile, the body of the murderer was found at Kadappakkada railway track. Blood stains were also found in the Maruti car parked nearby.

It has been confirmed that this car was used by the person who came to attack Febin. The city police commissioner has confirmed the identity of the accused as Thejus Raj, a native of Neendakara.
