Girl missing from Thamarassery found in Bengaluru, police to bring her

KOZHIKODE: The 13-year-old girl missing from Thamarassery was found in Bengaluru. The Karnataka police informed the Thamarassery police that she is with her relative in Bengaluru. The Thamarassery police have left for Bengaluru.


The girl missing is a native of Perumpally in Thamarassery. She is a class 8 student of Puthuppady Government School. The girl, who went for her exams on Tuesday, went missing later. A youth, her relative also was missing on the same day. The girl's parents had earlier filed a complaint against this youth. There is a POCSO case pending in connection with the abduction of the child. Her mother alleged that she was taken away again for not withdrawing this case. Her mother revealed that the youth’s relatives had threatened to kill her father.


The CCTV footage of the girl reaching Thrissur had emerged the other day. The footage of her arrival at a lodge near the KSRTC bus stand in Thrissur surfaced on March 14th. The lodge employee, who recognized the girl after seeing the news, informed the police. She came with the youth, her relative.
