"Who are you to ask for pass? Chief Minister?"; another attack on hospital employee; staff members protest

KANNUR: A complaint has been filed that a security guard at the hospital's emergency department was attacked after he stopped a man who tried to enter without a visitor's pass. The incident took place at the Kannur District Hospital. Pavanan, a native of Mayyil, was attacked. It is reported that the assailant was Jilshad, a native of Kannur.

CCTV footage of the incident has been released. When asked for a visitor's pass, the man asked the security guard, "Who are you to ask for a pass? The Chief Minister?" When the guard asked him to take the pass, he stayed indifferent. He verbally abused and pushed the guard away.

There are also reports that Pavanan was injured after falling to the ground. Pavanan filed a complaint with the police against the Jilshad. The staff members protested at the hospital over the attack under the leadership of the staff council.
