Hacked wife to death, injured wife's parents after using drugs; culprit on the run

KOZHIKODE: After consuming drugs, a young man hacked his wife to death. The incident took place in Engapuzha, Kozhikode. A young man named Yasser hacked his wife Shibila to death. He also hacked and injured Shibila's father Abdurahman and mother Haseena. Abdurahman's condition is critical. He has been admitted to Kozhikode Medical College. Haseena has been admitted to Thamarassery Taluk Hospital.

The attack on Shibila's parents took place when they tried to stop him for attacking their daughter. Neighbors also said that Yasser had attacked her after consuming drugs this evening. Shibila's relatives alleged that Yasser had beaten Shibila up in the past due to family problems. Unable to bear the harassment, Shibila had moved to her own house. The family has complained that even after filing a complaint with the Thamarassery police, alleging that Yasser was threatening them, the investigation was ineffective. The accused went into hiding after the attack. An investigation is underway to find him.
