MVD officer found dead inside car after being transferred to Kannur

ETTUMANOOR: An Enforcement AMVI (Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector) was found dead inside his car near his house. The deceased has been identified as S. Ganesh Kumar (46), a native of Pattithanam. The body was discovered this afternoon.

Ganesh Kumar had recently been transferred to Kannur and a farewell function was scheduled at the office in Thellakom. When he did not attend the event, his colleagues came searching for him at his residence and found him dead in the car.

The body has been shifted to Caritas Hospital mortuary for further procedures. He is survived by his wife Juna (a nurse at Kottayam General Hospital) and son Ashok Ganesh (a 5th-standard student at Kendriya Vidyalaya). Ettumanoor police have initiated further proceedings. The funeral will be held later.
