LAHORE: Former Pakistan cricket team captain Javed Miandad has found himself in a controversy after a recent video showed him brandishing a sword in public. The video also shows Miandad claiming that he is ready to kill anyone in order to ensure the safety of the people of Kashmir.

The former cricketer was seen among a crowd who were raising slogans regarding the Kashmir issue. He was also seen urging the Kashmiri people not to worry. "Brothers in Kashmir, don't worry. We are with you. If I was capable of hitting the balls to the boundary while wearing Pakistan's jersey, I will definitely be able to raise the sword against those who are threatening the people of Kashmir," he said.

Earlier, Miandad had landed in trouble after he urged the Kashmiris to resort to violence. He had also made sharp criticism against the Indian government over the Kashmir issue.
