Youth seriously injured in air gun attack during Chembrasseri festival

MALAPPURAM: A gunfire incident was reported in Chembrasseri Pandikkad. Chembrasseri native Lukman was injured in the air gun attack during a melee that broke out in the temple festival. Lukman with a neck injury, was admitted to Kozhikode Medical College. The incident took place this morning.

During the festival, people from two areas clashed and attacked each other. Pepper spray was also used and the ruckus intensified with air gun attack. It is still not known who fired the shots.

Three people have been taken into custody. They are being questioned. There was tension in the area even for two weeks.
