Drug party to celebrate birth of child; four youths arrested in Kollam

KOLLAM: Four individuals were arrested for organising a drug party to celebrate the birth of a child. The arrested individuals are Vipin from Kadinamkulam, Vivek from Manacaud, Kiran from Peyad, and Terbin from Kannammoola. The drug party was organized on Tuesday to mark the birth of Kiran's child.

The group rented a room at MM Apartment Lodge in Pathanapuram for the party. The Excise Commissioner received a tip-off about the Thiruvananthapuram residents hosting the party, prompting the Kollam Excise Squad to raid the lodge. During the raid, authorities seized 46 milligrams of MDMA, 22 grams of cannabis, and syringes from the accused. Due to the small quantity of drugs recovered, all four individuals were granted bail.
