The much-awaited blockbuster Empuraan is hitting the theatres tomorrow. Not only the Malayalees, the entire film industry is waiting for Empuraan, the second part of Mohanlal's Lucifer. Now, Empuraan's director and actor Prithviraj is thanking Mammootty for wishing the success of the film.

Within 24 hours of the bookings for Empuraan, 6,45,000 tickets were sold in India through Book My Show alone. This is a first in the history of Indian cinema. Empuraan has broken the records of many big budget films in Indian cinema. Nearly one lakh tickets were sold in the first hour of the bookings.

The film is produced by Subhaskaran, Antony Perumbavoor and Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Lyca Productions, Aashirvad Cinemas and Sree Gokulam Movies. The script is by Murali Gopi. This is also the first IMAX release in the history of Malayalam cinema. The screening of the film will start tomorrow at 6 am.
